SPEAR was founded by five high school students with an idea.

It all began at St. Mark’s School of Texas, where we were united by a common concern. Public speaking courses, a crucial skill for success in the modern world, were underrepresented and underfunded in most school districts. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to develop their speaking skills, regardless of social or economic background.
